Event Description
By the time a prospective patient calls your practice, books a consultation, or walks through the door, they may already have spent hours deciding whether they trust you.
This Business of Aesthetics expert panel explores how that trust is formed online through search visibility, websites, reviews, social media, educational content, branding, and the overall digital experience surrounding an aesthetic practice.
The discussion examines what prospective patients are looking for before making contact, how online credibility influences treatment decisions, and why a disconnect between a practice's real-world quality and digital presence can create lost opportunities.
For aesthetic practice owners and marketing leaders, this session provides a useful look at patient acquisition from the patient's perspective - and why successful marketing is not simply about getting attention, but creating enough confidence for someone to take the next step.

Good evening, and welcome to tonight's live session from the Business of Aesthetics, the premier community where your success truly matters. Tonight, we're tackling a shift that's redefining the industry, how online experiences shape patient trust before the first visit. I'm your host, Dan Adisha, and we are going to book the
We are going to bridge the gap between being found online and being trusted enough to book. By the end of the hour, you'll have a roadmap to audit your own digital front door and stop losing high-value patients to your competition.
Now, this event is made possible by our sponsor, Echo Marketing, founded by Naren Errol Raja, the very same founder of the business of aesthetics community. And for 18 years, ECHO has been one of the most trusted digital marketing organizations in healthcare, supporting over 500 active practices.
across the US and Canada, they specialize in helping you stay visible in an increasingly crowded market.
Now, here's a quick tip from our team at ECWA, for everyone, joining in.
The way patients find you online is changing fast. That's the…
topic of discussion tonight, as well. And, search engines and AI tools like ChatGPT, Google's AI overviews, voice assistants.
giving quick answers right on page, that means some people may not click through the way they used to. So, traditional search is still important, but it's evolving. So the question becomes, how do you stay, the practice patients trust and choose?
The answer is simple. Build enough authority and trust so search and AI see your practice as a helpful, reliable source.
Meaning clear, expert-driven content, accurate profiles, consistent name, address, phone details, strong reviews, and pages that answer real patient questions in simple, helpful way.
In this world, it's not about being found, it's about being easy to understand by AI, and easy to choose for people. So, stick around, we have something that'll help you take your practice's digital presence to the next step with confidence. So…
Right.
And, of course, let's take a look at some of the main points we're going to discuss tonight. We're going to move through four critical pillars. We're going to start with the psychology of search.
what patients actually want, and then we'll dive into the high impact of website elements that drive bookings. Then we'll tackle the strategy of reviews and social media as trust builders. Finally, we'll give you the tools to audit your own digital presence.
Let's meet the wonderful panelists who will take us through this discussion.
Our first panelist is Shelly Clayton. She's a nationally recognized aesthetic nurse practitioner and founder of Ageless Aesthetics, who helps patients achieve natural, undetectable results through strategic, outcome-driven treatment planning. Shelly, welcome to the panel.

Thank you.
For being here, Shelly. And next up, we got Frank Lopinski, he's the CEO and founder of Beamly, and he helps med spa owners recover up to $30,000 in monthly lost revenue so that they can turn that silent churn into predictable growth. Frank, welcome to the panel.
Thank you.

Great.
Let's dive into the main question and… we got… Poor yo.
Let's see…
So, my first question is to you, Frank. Patients often decide before contact, so what's one website signal that immediately tells you a practice is losing out on bookings?
One of the big things, especially when it comes to new patients, at least
If you still have something like a static contact-ass sort of form, or some sort of, you know, enter your information and we'll get back to you,
that sort of setup. I think if you are still using that, you're missing out on a lot of money, and just bleeding out, from just new patients and new traffic, because
there's already a lot of practices, whether you're in Arkansas, Scottsdale, where I'm at, Vegas, Miami, doesn't matter. There's a lot of practices that are competition for you that are already having these sort of systems in place to have some sort of 24-7 system to…
Talk to you, chat with you, and even if it's not a human, if they can at least talk to some sort of, let's just call it a voice agent, to get them booked or answer any questions.
that clinic using that technology is going to beat the other clinic that just has a static contact us now sort of feature every day of the week. So anytime I see that metric on a website.
I think they're a prime candidate to implement, you know, a new generation of tech and stuff like that.

What do you think about AI chatbots?
I think that they could be good. I think the whole terminology and just the whole label of chatbots is still a little bit outdated, because AI has come so far, so fast.
And, I think… if you can have… I like to call them overall AI… just AI agents.
Because a chatbot is… a chatbot, when people hear chatbots, it seems very robotic.
But an agent isn't smart, and it should know the ins and outs of your business, the pricing, the availability, and have access to your calendar and stuff like that to be able to book you if you, you know.
want to book without talking to anybody. Traditional chatbots, maybe some of them can do that, but they've, back then in the past, used to be kind of very generic.
If you have the ability to create a chatbot or an agent in this case that sounds and thinks like a human, you're ahead of the curve on it.

Check. That's a great place to start on. Thanks, Frank. Now, Shelly, when patients compare multiple providers online.
What single element most strongly shapes their first impression within the first few seconds?
